Unfortunately, first rumors come up that major platforms, e.g., twitch, consider blocking all European users from their content due to article 13 (article 17) of the new EU directive. If that’s the case those responsible will sooner or later realize what they’ve done to digital development and citizenship in Europe. Supporting digital development is already not a priority number one and now we’re actively blocking it on purpose. I really hope that enough global players jump on the bandwagon so that this will be a major disruption in citizens daily life. Maybe this will change something, end the conservative reign and we finally start to focus on our future.
